Northeast Anthony Henday Drive (NEAHD) Expansion

Demolition of over 100 residential houses and farm structures as well as 14 major bridges along Northeast Anthony Henday Drive, to accommodate the expansion of the Edmonton ring road infrastructure. The first phase of demolition started in June of 2013 and the final phase was completed in August of 2017.

  7. Baseline EB over AH
  8. Baseline WB over AH
  9. Sherwood Park Freeway EB over AH
  10. Sherwood Park Freeway WB over AH
  11. 76 Avenue over Sherwood Park Freeway
  12. 17 Street over Sherwood Park Freeway
  13. Broadmoor over YH
  14. WB Yellowhead from Broadmoor over WB YH to SB AH

Working Over CN Rail:

Visco removed four bridges over the CN main line. Demolition of each bridge took place within CN’s six-hour window, which required Visco to bring down each bridge and make the area safe for trains to start moving again. Visco met every deadline.

Environmental Sustainability:

All the concrete was crushed into concrete aggregate at Visco’s recycling yard. Visco produced 35,000 tonnes of crushed concrete for FDAL’s use in the construction.
