Demolition of over 100 residential houses and farm structures as well as 14 major bridges along Northeast Anthony Henday Drive, to accommodate the expansion of the Edmonton ring road infrastructure. The first phase of demolition started in June of 2013 and the final phase was completed in August of 2017.
Visco removed four bridges over the CN main line. Demolition of each bridge took place within CN’s six-hour window, which required Visco to bring down each bridge and make the area safe for trains to start moving again. Visco met every deadline.
All the concrete was crushed into concrete aggregate at Visco’s recycling yard. Visco produced 35,000 tonnes of crushed concrete for FDAL’s use in the construction.
