Volunteering

Visco Demolition has volunteered as the distribution centre for all Girl Guides Cookies in Sherwood Park and rural Strathcona County since Spring 2021.

Twice per year, Girl Guides of Canada ships a tractor trailer full of cookies to Visco. Visco employees use a forklift to unload the pallets of cookies into the shop. The Leaders of individual Girl Guide units come during work hours or by appointment outside of regular work hours to pick up the cookies for their unit.

Visco employees take time from their regular responsibilities to help load the correct number of cases into each Leader’s vehicle. In the 10 deliveries that Visco has managed, (162,216 boxes) of Girl Guide cookies have been distributed from our location.
