Michener Centre North Soil Remediation

Excavation of contaminated soil in three areas of the former Michener Centre North site resulted in the disposal of 27,740 tonnes of hydrocarbon contaminated soil. Visco also excavated and stockpiled overburden of 33,587 tonnes. Visco completed the removal, replacement, and restoration of 50 linear meters of paved bike path. The site was rough graded and final graded with topographical surveys, and seeded to restore drainage affected by the construction of buildings and underground steam tunnels in the 1950s.
