Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) is the Crown commercial enterprise that oversees the gaming, liquor, and cannabis industries in Alberta. The AGLC warehouse in St. Albert previously was used to store and distribute liquor, but the high rack system became obsolete when liquor distribution was privatized. The AGLC engaged Visco Demolition to plan, coordinate, remove and dispose of all steel racking structure, automated cranes, pick cars, conveyor components, electrical control and branch circuitry, electrical lighting grid, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) components throughout the high bay case pick area.

While the original schedule was from July 2020 to June 30, 2021, Visco had completed the entire scope of work by May 13, 2021. The removals were completed using multiple excavators with hydraulic shears. Emissions were continually monitored to ensure the safety of staff and AGLC workers.
